Ride with me, Rocky, in support of the "ClaireMarieFoundation". My daughter, Claire, who was 17 years old, passed away a year ago October after a three year battle with melanoma. What started a back in June as an idea of how I could somehow bring my daughter to college last fall, became a reality last September, when I arrived at the University of Alabama after riding 630 miles alone on my bike from Charleston, South Carolina . It was a promise that I made to attend an Alabama Football game with her, in what would have been her freshman year. I am not a cyclist. To train, I started in late June riding on the Expresso bikes at the club. I didn’t buy a bike until August, so I did a good portion of my training on these bikes. I left on 9/11 from SC and rode over 9 days, averaging 70 miles a day. I made the long ride to be with Claire. For some reason I feel very close to her when I am riding my bike. My idea is to ride an average of 70 miles a week at the club on the Expresso Bike.
