All those who have spent time in the gym will remember our honorary “Mayor of the JCC” -Jack Berghaus.

Let’s ride the bike today and while we’re doing so give thought to the happy memories we have of this inspiring man.

Jack would encourage all to have fun and push a little harder with their daily exercise regimen. He led by example displaying a level of consistency, determination and passion for life, community and exercise which set the bar for all. How we miss his engaging, friendly smile as we enter the gym and picture him peddling away on his favorite bike. How we miss his great stories, his strolling up to our exercise stations to push us to “do a little more”, and his wonderful friendship and nature.

Jack – you will always be part of the JCC gym, remembered and missed by all – and in your honor we will strive to follow the amazing example set by you.
